Separation Anxiety

Separation anxiety is an intense feeling of distress when the child leaves their parent or guardian.  This can become stressful for both the child and the parent when the child will follow them continuously not even wanting to go to bed for fear of being left.

This can continue for many months or even years and is said to affect between 2 to 5% of children at any one time.

Hypnotherapy can help by using relaxation and positive suggestions to help the child feel safe and confident in themselves about being away from their parents for a while.
